An elliptic problem with degenerate coercivity and a singular quadratic gradient lower order term
In this paper we study a Dirichlet problem for an elliptic equation with degenerate coercivity and a singular lower order term with natural growth with respect to the gradient. The model problem is
متن کاملAn elliptic problem with a lower order term having singular behaviour
We prove the existence of distributional solutions to an elliptic problem with a lower order term which depends on the solution u in a singular way and on its gradient Du with quadratic growth. The prototype of the problem under consideration is 8 < : −∆u + λu = ± |Du| 2 |u| k + f in Ω, u = 0 on ∂Ω, where λ > 0, k > 0, f (x) ∈ L ∞ (Ω), f (x) ≥ 0 (and so u ≥ 0). If 0 < k < 1, we prove the existe...
متن کاملTwo weak solutions for some singular fourth order elliptic problems
In this paper, we establish the existence of at least two distinct weak solutions for some singular elliptic problems involving a p-biharmonic operator, subject to Navier boundary conditions in a smooth bounded domain in RN . A critical point result for differentiable functionals is exploited, in order to prove that the problem admits at least two distinct nontrivial weak solutions.
متن کاملSingular elliptic problems with convection term in anisotropic media
We are concerned with singular elliptic problems of the form −∆u ± p(d(x))g(u) = λf(x, u) + μ|∇u|a in Ω, where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in R , d(x) = dist(x, ∂Ω), λ > 0, μ ∈ R, 0 < a ≤ 2, and f, k are nonnegative and nondecreasing functions. We assume that p(d(x)) is a positive weight with possible singular behavior on the boundary of Ω and that the nonlinearity g is unbounded around the or...
متن کاملRenormalized Solutions for Strongly Nonlinear Elliptic Problems with Lower Order Terms and Measure Data in Orlicz-Sobolev Spaces
The purpose of this paper is to prove the existence of a renormalized solution of perturbed elliptic problems$ -operatorname{div}Big(a(x,u,nabla u)+Phi(u) Big)+ g(x,u,nabla u) = mumbox{ in }Omega, $ in the framework of Orlicz-Sobolev spaces without any restriction on the $M$ N-function of the Orlicz spaces, where $-operatorname{div}Big(a(x,u,nabla u)Big)$ is a Leray-Lions operator defined f...
